Donya Feuer, Dies at 77

American modern-dance choreographer Donya Feuer passed away November 6 at the age of 77. Feuer had been part of New York's experimental dance scene in the late 1950s and early '60s. She danced with Martha Graham and is also well-known for her direction of movement and choreography in several plays directed by Ingmar Bergman. My personal favorites is "Phases of Madness," which she choreographed with Pina Bausch and Paul Sansarado.

"Every woman has a beautiful body- beautiful because it is the brilliant endpoint of millions of years of evolution. It is loaded with amazing adjustments and subtle refinements that make it the most remarkable organism on the planet." -- zoologist Desmond Morris.
